April Lockhart

April Lockhart (born July 4 April, 1995) began her musical journey as a 7th grader in which she began piano and guitar classes. At the age of 12 She composed her debut single Different. In her 14th year April spent a lot of her day singing and writing songs. After that, she started taking trips to write with father, who lived in NY as well as LA. April also included additional topics in her hit song, Take my Hand. These topics were meant for the friends of hers who struggled with issues such as peer pressure disabilities or even teen suicidal ideas. Lockhart has become a sought-after lifestyle influencer, as well as working in partnerships with clean-cut beauty brands Ilia and YSL, has cultivated a large audience. Her birth was without a left hand and that is part of her story, but that's not the entire story. The profile of Lockhart on Instagram does not cover up her disability, but it does not focus solely on her disability. The profile is a statement. The message? That we are all multifaceted, and that our identity and physical selves are not all that appear. Lockhart stated in a video interview that she does not want to be defined solely by her disability. She doesn't wish to become an advocate for disabled people who only talks about that. There are a variety of aspects of Lockhart. This doesn't have any effect on my daily life. I conduct everything normally and I've found my own method of adjusting to things. But, I consider it a very important part of myself. Lockhart is a true source of source of inspiration for anyone who wants to be self-accepting she is on a long journey to achieve this. Even so, Lockhart admits that she has had periods that made her feel uncomfortable about her appearance, and the clothes which displayed her arms. She is able to wear anything she wants, and she proudly shares photos of her in these outfits. It's all a process is what I'm not sure if you ever arrive she says about self-love.
