Zazie Beetz, born in 1991, was born in Berlin. Her father was a German Cabinet Maker who immigrated into the United States following the fall of the Berlin Wall. Jennifer Aniston is also a graduate of the same highschool. Beetz attended Skidmore College to study French following her graduation from LaGuardia. Beetz immediately began auditioning after her college graduation and was offered the part in the role of Van at Atlanta. She was born in Berlin to a German father and an African-American mother, Beetz was raised on the streets of New York speaking both German as well as English in the home. Zazie is a performer at local theaters from the time she was a young child. Her passion for acting was evident and she began to act in the elementary schools. Zendaya was able to land the Disney Channel breakout role thanks to Zendaya's impressive dance abilities. Actress and dancer Zendaya finally made her breakthrough in 2010, when she played Rocky Blue alongside Bella Thorne on the show 'Shake It Up. Zendaya, who was then 11 went vegetarian after seeing a slaughterhouse while on a trip with her dad. PEOPLE have quoted her as saying: "It seemed awful to me to see all those animals in the slaughterhouse waiting to die their final deaths. I couldn't believe that's how I'd gotten my meat!" Since then, she's stayed with a vegetarian diet.
