Katherine Heigl has revealed that she grew up in a white bubble, and how that influenced how she cared for her adoptive, multiracial children. But after talking to her adoptive sister in South Korea about how society had treated them, she was aware of how much different their lives were. Heigl spoke to Parents about how she realized her naivet . She became enraged, and she decided to channel her anger into assist her daughters who were adopted by her. Heigl's husband Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4. together for thirteen years. They have adopted Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) and is black, in 2009.
