Jenna Fischer's best-known role was that of Pam Beesly from the popular television series The Office. In recognition of her performance, she received an Emmy award for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role and received two SAG Awards.
Born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she was raised living in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna watched as her mother Anne took part in plays at church. Her love for performance and theater began as a young girl.
Fischer was a theater actress trained in her native country. She was a part of the Off-Broadway show Reasons to Be Happy which was written and directed by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. At the Old Globe Theatre's world premiere, She starred opposite Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's hilarious comedy Meteor Shower.
In October 2019, Fischer and The Office actor and friend Angela Kinsey started the podcast Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform, which has become wildly popular, landing in the Top Ten globally every week and gaining over 200 million downloads over its first two years. In the beginning of January, 2021, Office Ladies won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Year award.
She's also the co-author of Office BFF's Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends The Office. This autobiography is about the relationship between them and how they worked for The Office.
