Young relocated her home to Los Angeles, landing roles in the roles of Cathy Metsker and Rachel in JJ Abrams Mission Impossible: 3 which stars Tom Cruise and Keri Russel. The following year she had part as a support role in the independent comedy movie Bernard and Huey opposite Jim Rash and David Koechner. In 2018 she co-starred in Disney Live Action's adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time along with Oprah Winfrey Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling.
